Lumi Cards are live, agile spaces that can be customised to your workflow. You can use Cards to collaborate on a variety of content with your team, as well as storing information, contact details, documents, pictures, video and audio files, web and social media links, time-coded logs, rundowns and much more. 


They are perfect for reoccurring or daily content, such as Episodes:

Card Categories 

A Card can be used for many things and categorised however you need..... A Card Category is a way to categorise and separate your Cards. Each category can have it's own colour, templates and custom fields etc. 

Here are some examples of how Card categories could be used: 

  • If you have LOCATIONS as a Card category, Bondi Beach is Card within that category
  • If you have TO DOS as a Card category, Organise Christmas Party would be a Card within that category
  • If you have CLIENTS as a Card category, Coca Cola could be a Card within that  category
  • If you have ACTORS as a Card category, Nicole Kidman would be a Card within that category
  • If you have EVENTS as a Card category, Fashion Week would be a Card within that category
  • If you have RESEARCH as a Card category, the Environmental Cost of Paper could be a Card within that category

Creating a Card

To create a Card, press this icon  on the left hand side of your screen and select  "Card".


Enter a name/ title for your Card, then select the Card category e.g. Story, Project, Task, Location, Crew, Client, Brief, etc.

Choose the Access (let everyone in the Project see it or just you (Private Vault) 


Then hit either Add & Open or Add.  


Hot tip: You can template a Card if you like it so every Card has the same format.

Editing a Card 


Card Title & Hashtags


Simply type straight in here to change the Card title or type to add hashtags for easy search and categorisation. 



Contact Details & Social Media Links

If you have chosen to add contact and social fields to your card category (this is an option in settings on each card category) you can just click on the below icons to add/edit contact details and social media links - Lumi addresses are Google Map Integrated.



Tabs

Tabs are a great way to store information on a Card in a lightweight and collaborative way while keeping everything in one spot. You can edit a tab by double-clicking in the content area of the tab OR hitting the "Edit" button in the top right corner of the tab. Tabs will automatically save you go or you can click "Done" in the top right corner when you have finished editing so that others can edit the tab.



To add a new tab in a card, press the plus next to the last tab. To remove, rename or reorder, press the three dots next to the last tab, and "Manage Tabs".




Documents, Images & Media

To add documents/media to a card press the upload media button in the top right corner. Then either drag the media to upload, choose files to upload, or choose files within Lumi (ie documents or media that have already been uploaded to Lumi) to link to the card. You can choose documents, spreadsheets, presentations, images, and videos. You can find your attached media on the left of the card in the media section.  


Hot Tip: All images and documents can live on multiple cards at the same time, so if you update them, they update everywhere.... so no need to duplicate/re-upload them. You can edit these documents LIVE and AT THE SAME TIME as anyone else. 



Card Thumbnail 

The first image you upload to a Card will become the thumbnail, which is displayed everywhere. Or you can simply click here to add, crop, or remove an image. 




Fields

Fields are very handy to add some searchable and filterable context to your Cards, and perfect for when you're pulling all your Cards into a List. You hide or view fields on your Card by pressing this icon.



These are completely customisable and a great way to track and sort a limitless amount of things such as:

  • Task Status (To do/ doing / done)
  • Responsible (Lisa / Georgia / Bianca / Tom)
  • Availability (yes/TBC/not avail) 
  • Paperwork status (pending/sent/TBC/complete)
  • Ratings (a/b/c or 1star/2star/3star)
  • Decisions (yes/no/maybe)
  • Pitch Results (lost/won/TBC)
  • Dates (DOB, shoot dates, deadlines) 


Fields can be a single choice, multiple-choice, date, date of birth, or a text field (where you can just type straight into them).

Accessing Cards


There are a variety of ways to access your Cards, you can find them in your Project Library. 


Via your home menu....


You can add an individual Card to your Project Dashboard, by going into the Card, pressing this button top right and selecting Add to Dashboard. 

Or you can add a list of all your Card Categories or individual Card Category links to your Dashboard

Templating Cards  


You can template Cards so everytime you create one, they all look the same. Once you've created the perfect Card, hit this button top right

And select Save as Template 


Give your template a name, or select an existing template to replace and hit save.

Relating / Linking Cards  


Relating Cards is a great way to provide links and connectivity to enable an agile workflow for your project.

Scroll to the bottom right of your card and press the + button in the related cards box. 



Then search for the card you want to add and simply click to relate it (you can click multiple also)

 


What can I do with my Cards? 

Cards can be pulled into live and customisable Lumi Lists for instant changes and tracking. 


Placing Cards on Digital Boards mean that office walls and whiteboards can be accessed from anywhere. 


Fields & Kanbans give you a unique and automatic overview of your Cards and workflow.


You can add Cards to 3D Day Schedules and Rundowns to allow your team to go paperless and reduce the need for redistributing print outs.
